What type of backend does the solution run?

The backbone of Always On Remote Workforce™ is powered by WireGuard® VPN, a revolutionary technology that replaces outdated methods with a streamlined solution consisting of less than 5000 lines of code, offering unparalleled speed and security. WireGuard® employs the NOISE handshake for connection establishment, designed as a superior alternative to TLS. Notably, the NOISE protocol stands out by its non-responsiveness to unauthenticated requests, enhancing security. This modern VPN approach has undergone rigorous testing in both live operational settings and peer reviews, ensuring its reliability and effectiveness.

What all is needed to make this work?

The comprehensive solution is implemented on a cluster of three servers responsible for hosting the Always On Remote Workforce™ backend, a robust SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solution, and a powerful Monitoring solution. These servers collect and transmit data back to the interface through secure API calls, which are source-restricted to the RFC 1918 address space. This secure approach leverages the WireGuard® backend, ensuring a predictable and controllable environment, ultimately producing the insightful information that enterprises require to make informed decisions.

In essence, we monitor everything. Within the Always On Remote Workforce™, all connected endpoints undergo thorough monitoring, encompassing registry alterations, virus signatures, attack patterns/signatures, and unauthorized modifications. Additionally, we offer the flexibility to configure tailored alerts, enabling proactive responses to patterns, logs, or alerts, such as isolating an infected endpoint upon detection of an infection. Furthermore, our solution conducts CIS Checks on endpoints, ensuring that the operating system adheres to security best practices.

Our solution operates through a virtual FortiGate firewall, which conducts standard UTM (Unified Threat Management) deep packet inspections. This approach ensures the continuous availability of cutting-edge UTM features, offering security enterprises can rely on.

On average, endpoints located in different geographical regions experience approximately 25ms of latency. However, this latency can vary based on your proximity to the data centers where the solution is hosted.
